Inventors and Patents From the City of Fontana

The City of Fontana, Carlifonia is home to many inventors and patents. One of them, James A. Fontana, has applied for a patent to protect his inventions. His patent listings include pending applications and patents granted by the USPTO.

U.S. Patent No. 7,799,895, entitled “Low VOC bio-source adhesive”

A low-VOC bio-source adhesive was recently patented in the United States. The patent was issued to two companies, Cummins Filtration IP Inc. and Stinger Industries LLC, each of which is located in Memphis, Tennessee. This adhesive can be used in a variety of different applications, from interior design to household construction. It is an eco-friendly, renewable, and recyclable option for the construction industry.

The low-VOC bio-source adhesive was patented by companies in the United States and Europe. It is a bio-based resin that has a lower VOC content than traditional acrylic resins. It also comes in a range of different colors, including fluorescents.

The inventors are Robert Kintu Ddamulira, John Edmund Raidy and Barry Kenneth Wright while the patent has been assigned to W.F. Taylor Co., Inc.

US Patent No. US 11,234,474 entitled ‘Protective helmet liner apparatus’

This is a patent for a protective invention aimed at prevention of head injury, concussions, and brain trauma. While many helmets and protection devices exist, the distinctive feature of this ‘protective helmet liner apparatus’ is that it employs ample shock absorption and can be adapted to a variety of different helmets.

The abstract of the patent reads in part;

“A protective helmet liner apparatus for prevention of head injury, concussions, and brain trauma includes a liner body dimensioned such that a bottom edge sits below a user’s skull and a front edge extends from behind the user’s ears, over the ears, and across the forehead above the user’s eyebrows. A shock-absorptive filling is coupled within the liner body between an inside and an outside of the liner body.”

The Patent was assigned to its inventor Theron Tephabock, Fontana, CA (US) on 1 February, 2022.

US Patent No. US D923,775 S entitled ‘Hygienic face mask’

The claim for this patent is for an ornamental design for a hygienic face mask as shown.

The Patent was assigned to Inland Concrete Products, Inc., Fontana, CA (US) on 29 June, 2021 and is valid for a term of 15 years.

Its inventors are John H. Gilner, Santa Barbara, CA (US); G. Douglas Hartzheim, Bozeman, MT (US); Steven R. Wilbur, Yucaipa, CA (US).
