Inventors and Patents From Denton, Texas

In Denton, Texas, electricity came to the city in 1905 when Denton Municipal Electric Company was created. The creation of this company brought electricity to Denton, and the city began to grow. By 1910, it was the largest city in Texas in terms of electric service. In 1921, the city had a population of 80,000. The program also provides a unique opportunity to learn about a renowned inventor from Dallas. Camp Invention is an annual event that focuses on helping young people become innovators. They’ll have the opportunity to attend a special conference on invention and patents. During the event, students will receive a special certificate. The program is free and open to the public. The camp is open to all ages and all levels of talent.
